In the role of Lecturer in Business you will be predominantly be based at the Waterfront Centre in Huddersfield with some work at the Dewsbury centres and your focus will be on Teaching, Learning and Assessment tasks for various levels of Business courses. You will play a vital role in guiding the future of the next generation. Your expertise and enthusiasm will inspire learners to explore the exciting and diverse world of business. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, facilitating hands-on practical sessions where appropriate, and providing support and guidance to students throughout their time at Kirklees College. It is essential that you have relevant industry experience It’s important that you’re able to communicate and engage fully with young people, whilst remaining focused on your teaching and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role. The qualifications necessary for this role are a minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*- C) and a relevant industry qualification at Level 3+. Ideally, you will hold a degree in Business or related area, experience of teaching at Levels 1-3 and demonstrable experience in delivery of high-quality curriculum. Experience of working in a FE College would be beneficial, as would a L5 Teaching Qualification. We could however support the right candidate to achieve their L5 qualification through our extensive in-house teacher training programmes.
