Job description

This role is full-time, working 37 hours per week.


Day to day duties of the role

  • To provide high quality teaching, learning, assessment, and internal moderation across a range of Hairdressing, Barbering and Apprenticeship courses with particular focus on adult education.
  • To assess learners on campus and/or in the high street salon.
  • Maintain sector relevance/CPD through running a commercial column in the high street salon.
  • To course coordinate adult programmes of study and be responsible for the success of learners on programme.


Required skills and qualifications

  • All candidates for teaching posts must possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, or be prepared to gain this Qualification within the first two years of service, with the assistance of the College.
  • Level 3 Hairdressing or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years industry experience
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies.
