Job Title: Lecturer in Health and Social Care

Location: Portsmouth

Lecturer Qualified: £31,865 -£41,541 (Full-Time Equivalent)

Lecturers Unqualified: £28,315- £30,931 (Full-Time Equivalent)

Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 17 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year

About the role:

We are currently looking for a Lecturer to teach Health and Social Care at our Campus. A Lecturer play the largest part in a student's experience in education. As a Lecturer you help your learners thrive and reach their aspirational careers and dreams! Are you ready to be part of a rewarding journey to make a difference?

Key Responsibilities:

  • To teach the college programme to students daily and provide high quality learning opportunities to them
  • To provide flexible assessment opportunities and closely plan, monitor, track and record student retention, achievement, and success
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of high quality, relevant curriculum, and pro-grammes. Curriculum Development responsibilities include actively contributing to the development of new programmes and producing annual schemes of work
  • Plan and deliver effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment
  • Ensure compliance with Quality standards set by the College and / or Awarding Bodies

To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant area
  • Experience of Teaching CACHE Level 2 and level 3
  • T Level would be desired but open to application with industry experience
  • Experience of teaching / training and assessing students with learning difficulties and disabilities at Entry Level in relation to Independent Living and Work Skills
  • Teaching Qualification in a relevant subject (QTS/QTLS)
  • Ability to meet targets within set timescales
  • Ability to work well in teams but also to work independently, with the minimum of supervision
