The University now seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing/Nursing within the School of Applied Sciences.
The School of Applied Sciences delivers programmes and applied research in the areas of Mental Health Nursing, counselling, biomedical sciences, psychology, forensic sciences, engineering, food science, and sport and exercise sciences. There has been significant growth in the School’s research output in recent years.
Reporting to the Head of Division of Health Sciences, you will be involved in the teaching on our programme as well as playing a role in the further development of the Division’s research agenda. We especially invite applications from Registered Nurses with a combined practice and professional education background in one or more of the following:-
• Mental health
• Care of older people
• Public health
• Psychological therapies
• Child and adolescent Mental Health
The role requires excellent organisational, team working and communication skills, and a commitment to maintain a high-quality learning environment for students. You should have highly developed clinical skills, and the ability to contribute to the Division’s research priorities.
