Job description

In the role of Motor Vehicle Lecturer, you’ll be based at our Engineering centre and your focus will be on delivering high quality lessons to apprentices and/or full-time learners, including school leavers and mature students. Your key responsibilities will be to develop and teach programmes of study to meet the particular needs of our learners. The successful candidate will create a positive classroom environment by engaging learners and managing classroom sessions positively and with consideration. We aim to help our students develop self-regulation and confidence in their abilities as they prepare for their next step. Ideally, you’ll have at least a Level 4 qualification in Motor Vehicle studies or related subject (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and experience in teaching young people, however, if you have worked in the Motor Vehicle industry and have experience that can be applied in the classroom this too is highly valued within our department. Knowledge and experience of heavy goods vehicles and/or hybrid/electric vehicles and/or MOT testing and/or air conditioning would be a significant advantage.
