Job description

The Division of Pharmacy & Optometry is seeking to appoint a well-motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic lecturer. The post-holder will join our Drug Usage and Pharmacy Practice (DUPP) research group and will contribute to the teaching and assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The post holder will have the skills and experience to develop their own independent Pharmacy Practice research. They will have a developing record of excellent research, supported by strong publications commensurate with their career stage. The post holder would be expected to work closely with colleagues across the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry, where there is already a strong national and international track record of research in Pharmacy Practice and other key areas in the pharmaceutical sciences. The post holder will be expected to take full advantage of the local networks as well as rich data resources accessible within the Drug Usage and Pharmacy Practice (DUPP) Group, including NIHR infrastructure at Manchester and the research institutes within the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.

The post holder will also have the skills and experience to contribute to teaching and assessment, curriculum development, and other leadership activities related to the teaching of professional Pharmacy Practice within the Division, at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The post holder will be expected to develop and contribute to initiatives that aim to enhance our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across programmes. The post holder will engage in professional and personal development activities which are consistent with the needs and aspirations of the post-holder and the Division of Pharmacy and Optometry.
