We are now looking for a Lecturer in Policing to join our team on a full time, fixed term basis until August 2025.
  • THE ROLE –

Located within the Institute of Management and Health, you will be under the line management of the Academic Directors (Blue Light Academy).
You will be working in collaboration with Police forces to deliver programmes designed to meet the needs of professional practice. You will be primarily concerned with learning and teaching and contributing to the Policing programmes which fall under IMH Swansea, which are underpinned by a professional focus on Policing.

- ABOUT YOU -
To be considered as a Lecturer in Policing, you will need:
1) A good honours degree in a relevant discipline or professional experience
2) A relevant postgraduate/professional qualification or professional practice experience
3) experience in teaching, delivery, assessment across a diverse student body in Policing
4) Experience of using e-resources including a willingness to teach by video-link, VLE or website delivery
5) Experience of using innovative approaches to learning and teaching
6) Proactive and innovative approach to create new learning opportunities
7) Ability to deliver and develop new opportunities at undergraduate level
8) Engagement in continuous professional development
9) Willingness to work flexibly to meet role requirements
It would be beneficial if you also have:
  • Postgraduate teaching qualification
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
  • A PhD in a relevant discipline or a teaching qualification
  • Ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh (oral and written).
