Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England. We are seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Lecturer in Skills for Life at HMP Dartmoor to join the team on a part-time basis.

The successful applicant will be working in a highly dynamic learning environment and will need to be able to show flexibility and innovation in their approaches to teaching.

Although we are an education provider, you don’t necessarily need experience within education to apply for a role with us, if you have relevant and transferable skills, we would welcome your application.

You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality curriculum delivering food hygiene and confectionary production or an alternative as led by the Weston College management team and to carry out all tasks associated with teaching.

About HMP Dartmoor

Located in Devon, HMP Dartmoor is a Category C men's prison which is owned by the Duchy of Cornwall and operated by His Majesty's Prison Service. NVQ or City & Guilds Vocational training is provided, including courses in brickwork, plastering and painting and decorating. Other courses offered include art, foundation cookery and functional skills. Residents can also pursue education, from basic skills to Open University courses. Dartmoor Prison emphasizes rehabilitation through various offending behaviour programs. It offers a unique, dynamic and rewarding environment for individuals to work and make a difference in the lives of others.
