The Multiply project is a fully funded government initiative to help adults improve their numeracy skills, build confidence and gain qualifications. Delivered in short courses across the region, CWA actively works with the local communities that we serve to provide learning opportunities to maximise uptake and accessibility.
As the Multiply Lecturer you will work closely with internal and external colleagues to understand and deliver the Multiply Project. You must have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in mathematics and a Level 2 in English. Teaching experience is not essential, but is desirable.
Please note that your point on the salary scale will be determined based on both experience and teaching qualifications. Appointments will not normally be made at point 10 or above (£32,384 FTE) without a level 5 teaching qualification and experience.
We are a successful, community-focused FE College based in the East of England. We have a thriving English, maths and ESOL team and in recent years, the department has grown from strength to strength. We offer an incredible training package and a chance to work within tight knit and supportive teams.
We offer an excellent package including a generous annual leave allowance of 37 days per year for curriculum staff, plus five College closure days, plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata for part-time), fee waivers on some College courses, a contributory pension scheme with the Teachers' Pension Scheme (current employer contribution is 23.68%), discounts with local businesses and access to a cycle to work scheme. CWA focusses on staff well-being and utilises both internal and external resources, such as a well-being committee and access to a free and confidential counselling helpline as well as comprehensive training and development.
