About the Role This is an exciting time for a highly motivated and talented academic who can join us to pursue Research, Scholarship or Practice excellence and deliver high quality Teaching and actively support our students’ learning as an enthusiastic member of the Department of Physics and Mathematics at Nottingham Trent University. What you'll bring You will pursue and develop nationally and internationally prominent and competitive Research activities, or Scholarship and Pedagogical development activities, or Professional Practice and/or Knowledge Exchange. These activities will be aligned with your chosen Academic Career Pathway (Teaching and Research, Teaching and Scholarship, or Teaching and Practice) in an area of Physics that complements, and enhances, the expertise and activities at Nottingham Trent University, and which leverages academic, professional, and industry collaborations. Your Academic Career Pathway activities in the role will result in high quality outputs, beneficial outcomes with real-world impacts, and will be supported by external funding applications and capture of grants and/or contracts. Research at Nottingham Trent University should be affiliated with one of our Centres, which for this post may include our Imaging, Materials and Engineering Centre (Imaging, Materials and Engineering Centre (IMEC) | Nottingham Trent University) and/or our Medical Technologies Innovation Facility (MTIF: Medical Technologies Innovation Facility). As an inspiring educator you will be deliver high quality and engaging teaching, actively supporting our students’ successful learning attainments and achievements through innovative, industry-focused education. You'll possess excellent communication and presentation skills, being capable of teaching Foundation and Bachelors undergraduate students, and postgraduate Masters students, across our portfolio of courses. You will bring relevant experience and ability to teach effectively in core Physics and Associated subjects within and across our multi-disciplinary course portfolio at Nottingham Trent University, whilst providing added value by contributing through a specialist knowledge area which could include, but is not limited to, Astrophysics, Medical Physics or Medical Imaging, or Nuclear Technology.
