Applications are invited for the teaching and research post of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Literatureand Environmental Justice, which is tenable from 1 September 2024 [?].
You must have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant field and demonstrable teaching experience in Literature and/or theory at university level, with a focus on Environmental Justice and/or ecocriticism (broadly conceived). You will be able to deliver core and specialist courses in literary and cultural studies within a broad environmental and/or ecocritical remit. Appropriate to career stage, a record of grant capture, PhD supervision, and public engagement activities are desirable, as is experience coordinating core courses and/or programmes. The post-holder will contribute to the University’s strategic priorities in environmental humanities and play a leading role in our flagship new MA Arts, Culture and the Environment. The post-holder may in addition contribute to race and decolonial studies priorities. You must have excellent interpersonal skills, be collegial, and be able to empathise with students.
