Lecturer - Sport

Internal Vacancy for current College staff only

1.0 FTE - 37 hours per week

Based at the Brighton Met, East Campus

We have an internal opportunity for a Sport lecturer to deliver outstanding teaching and learning to our Sport cohorts at our East Brighton Campus.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high quality Sport lessons to our learners as well as have an understanding of the needs and challenges our students face. You will undertake teaching activities in the curriculum area, ensuring a high quality of provision, in response to learners’ needs for a range of age groups including our 16-19 provision and part-time adult courses.

You will work collaboratively and innovatively with managers and colleagues to design, develop, manage, and review programmes in the curriculum area and will ensure that student needs are met in a responsive way, in line with the concept of inclusive learning.

Essential criteria requirements are:-

Relevant teaching experience

Teaching and assessing qualifications

Experience of curriculum delivery and associated administration

Experience of managing a diverse groups of students

Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google applications

An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups

We offer day and evening classes; therefore, the working pattern can be varied. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
