About the role:
The School of Nursing and Public Health is a vibrant research and educational environment within the Faculty of Health and Education. We deliver a broad range of nursing related programmes at Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate level as well as PhDs in Nursing and Public Health.
Our Masters in Global Public Health programme attracts students from around the world. Our world leading research in the areas of mental health and gender violence sit alongside a growing theme of public health and population level health research.
The school delivers Adult and Mental Health Nursing programmes at both Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate level with over 1200 nursing students in the school. We are looking for experienced clinicians who are looking to make the move in a nursing academic career. The role will involve teaching, personal student support, assessment of theory and practice, and other teaching related duties on our nursing programmes.
Fractional posts will be considered. This post is offered on the Education, Pedagogy and Citizenship (EPC) career pathway.
About the candidate:
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed clinicians who hold UK NMC registration as an Adult of Mental Health nurse and are keen to teach and support under-gradate nursing students. Candidates will have a good first degree together with a Masters Degree or evidence of working towards a Masters.
Candidates with extensive clinical experience without a Masters degree willing to engage in level 7 study will also be considered.
