About the role Our Accounting and Finance provision is growing and we want to support this with adding to our staff team at Derby Business School. We are looking for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Accountingand Finance, who is also a qualified Accountant with a professional body membership who will ensure efficient and effective development and delivery of teaching and leading programmes, in accordance with the University’s strategic objectives in order to provide an exceptional student experience. You will be required to undertake research activity, which influences leading edge practice, and  informs and inspires a research-led curriculum. You will build on a growing research reputation to build collaborations, with an active publication record that will contribute to the REF. You will be required to deliver modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, and will have an enthusiasm for Accounting and Finance, with a sound understanding of curriculum development and quality management. Specifically, you should have the capability to contribute to the teaching of modules such as Tax, Strategic Management Accounting, Strategic Business Leader, Audit and Assurance and the delivery and supervision of Business Consultancy Projects/UG and PG dissertations. A flexible approach to teaching on Accounting and Finance modules across UG/PG programmes and bespoke client based programmes is required. A licence to practice and provide Accounting and tax advice is desirable.
