Hays are delighted to be working on a exclusive basis with a high-growth professional SME services firm to recruit a newly created divisional Accountant for their legal division. The company are based in Birmingham city centre in offices with free parking and offer 2/3 days per week working from home.
Your new role
As Divisional Accountant you will join the legal division at an early stage and be part of the projected growth so this is a great time to join. Reporting to the MD and Group FD this is a hands on all round A-Z role, also incorporating WIP and time billing, Solicitors Accounts Rules knowledge, monthly management accounts and external liaison with the auditors. Eventually the role will lead a small team and become more strategic as well as operational. The division expect high growth and as such this role will continue to develop.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a Qualified or QBE Accountant who is from a legal, property or professional services background and has a understanding of Legal Accounting rules, time billing, client accounts and WIP. This is a hands on all round role so needs someone willing to role up their sleeves. A knowledge of Sage would also be a benefit. This role could also suit someone leaving Practice with experience in these sectors.
