Legal Executive / Paralegal

Our client is a top-tier construction company with offices in London, and are looking to hire a Legal Executive / Paralegal with experience in non-contentious construction.
Responsibilities:

• Commenting on project appointments (including collateral warranties, deeds of novation, scope of services) - seeking solicitor advice as required
• Negotiating appointments with client/client’s solicitors
• Negotiating services with Client/Project Managers
• Monitoring appointment documents
• Liaising with our BIM team regarding BIM Protocols
• Liaising with the busy project teams in arranging the execution of construction-based agreements including appointments, collateral warranties, novation agreements and sub-consultancy arrangements;
• understanding of the scope and terms of their project appointment matters and on forms of building contract
• Submissions/Bids and carrying out ad-hoc research tasks as directed

Requirements:

• Interpreting legal documents and liaising with Project Leaders to assist their Lending support to more less experienced job runners in particular with contractual
• Providing support to the practice’s legal advisors in the event of any disputes
• Advising on procurement contractual matters
• Liaising with a variety of teams including project teams, IT, HR, Finance,
• UK legal qualifications or experience working in non-contentious construction within a company or law firm for at least 2 years.
• Experience with drafting collateral warranties, deeds of novation and scope of services.
