The opportunity:

As a Legal Indemnities Underwriter, you will support the Legal Indemnities team to maintain a profitable portfolio by delivering a market leading level of service and underwriting to our intermediaries and customers. In the role, you’ll be responsible for the Underwriting of Legal Indemnities Business, in accordance with the relevant strategies, guidelines, authorities and pricing guidance, as well as contributing to the achievement of the Legal Indemnity lines of business strategic and operational objectives.

What will you be doing?

As the London Market Underwriter, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Support delivery and execution of plan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Working towards increased levels of of authority to support team goals.
  • Working closely with the Senior Underwriters to build knowledge base.
  • Promptly handle and positively resolve enquiries from brokers, customers and colleagues.
  • Ensure that accurate records are maintained and the prompt production of quality documentation, in accordance with guidelines.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous Legal Indemnities experience.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and plan workloads to meet objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills regarding internal and external interaction.
  • Knowledge of a range of Title Insurance products including Defective Title and Rights to Light.
  • Have a proactive approach.
  • Make suggestions to improve procedures.
  • Demonstrate commitment to corporate values.
  • Take action to manage own personal development.
  • Effective numerical, verbal and written communication skills.
