Job description

Reed Business Support Team in Guildford are pleased to be supporting a leading Southeast law firm who are seeking an experienced PA to provide direct support to the fee earner(s) to enable them to operate at optimum efficiency.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced Legal PA, with previous exposure and experience of the Residential Property Market and expected to use a high degree of self-management and initiative.

Duties include:• Contributes to the team's core commitment to client service• Assisting with matter creation, progression and closure via the firm's case management and practice management systems• This will include Data entry, preparing correspondence including transcribing digital dictation, preparing documents (including completion statements, online form filing, Land Registry forms) and updating workflows.• Assisting the team and the Residential Property department generally as and when required• Preparing completion statements and assist with post-exchange and pre-completion formalities• Undertaking on-line form filling requirements• Preparing and submitting Land Registry forms• Obtaining information from local authorities and other organisations• Deals with registration and post completion formalities• Making appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for fee earner(s)• Preparing conference room for meetings and clearance of the room at the end of the meeting and to provide refreshments• Providing support to other secretaries• Reflect and maintain the team's commitment to high levels of attention to detail, quality and accuracy in our work• Assisting clients and liaising with third parties in person, on the phone and via correspondence in a manner which demonstrates professionalism and courteousness.• Assist generally with the continued efficient and effective service levels of the team• Undertakes any specific training when required to do so

The ideal candidate:• Substantial previous legal secretarial experience including at least 2 years' experience in Residential Property• Keeps up with fee earner's work production• High accuracy levels• Demonstrates a pro-active approach to work with a positive attitude• Demonstrates an excellent level of attention to client service• Able to interact well with both internal and external clients• Work to deadlines• Prioritise workloads effectively• Work as part of a team

Qualifications Knowledge and Skills:• Excellent speed typing skills• Advanced IT skills in relevant packages• Prior knowledge of Practice Evolve or other case management systems (Desirable)• Knowledge of law/legal practice (Desirable)
