Legal Secretary

Hays are working with a Bromsgrove based Legal firm who are recruiting for a Legal Secretary to join them on a permanent basis.
Your new role
You will provide administrative support a specific division in the Firm with duties to include:

• Handle new client enquiries on the telephone or in person and dealing with queries
• Closing and updating files and other records on the database
• Maintaining the storage of files
• Allocating post to the appropriate persons
• Supporting with the chasing of clients for payment of costs/ disbursements
• Filing and scanning of documents
• Diary management
• Undertake basic drafting of documents and due diligence where needed
• Any other duties and assistance commensurate to the role, as required from time to time.

This role is full time working Monday to Friday in the office.
What you'll need to succeed
Experience in the legal sector, or a similar role will be highly desired. Other requirements are:

• A proficient level of literacy and numeracy and experience MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience of data entry and/or text processing
• Touch and audio typing experience desirable
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative alongside team working skills
• Organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and work in a fast paced environment
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• An understanding of and adherence to General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times.
