Your new companyMy client a well known family law firm in Leicester to looking to recruit a permanent Legal Secretary to support their fee earner at their Leicester office. Your new roleDuties will include:
- Type (audio and copy) all general correspondence, including memos, faxes and other documents and forms;
- Reception Duties;
- Prepare documents and correspondence requiring knowledge of legal terminology and document formats, such as contracts, briefs, policies and complaints;
- File all incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintain filing and administrative systems; Arrange Teleconferences with local, regional and national law firms, as well as other constituencies, as required;
- Maintain accurate records of all cash movements, producing information as required;
- Exhibit a good level of flexibility and team work;
- Support colleagues where required and undertake training where appropriate;
- Assist with all other general administrative tasks
What you'll need to succeedThe role requires the successful candidate to have previous legal secretarial experience and ideally specialising in all aspects of Family work, including private children cases, finances and domestic violence, and covering private paying and legal aid work.You will also need to bring excellent audio typing/word processing skills, a good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), first-class organisational skills and the ability to show initiative, drive and determination while achieving results and hitting deadlines in a fast-moving team environment Experience using a case management system would also be advantageous.What you'll get in returnYou will be rewarded with a permanent opportunity working at their offices in Leicester paying a competitive salary.
