Job Description: Legal Secretary
We are looking to appoint a Legal Secretary for our busy Private Client and Family Department.
The Role
You will be responsible for assisting both departments with the following tasks:-
- opening and closing files;
- dealing with initial enquires and making appointments;
- dictation;
- drafting some legal forms with guidance/instructions;
- standard letters;
- carrying out AML checks;
- engrossing documents for signing;
- preparation of court bundles;
- dealing with filing of court forms using online portal systems;
- making and receiving telephone calls;
- Paper and online filing and storage of documents;
- Photocopying and some other general office duties.
Experience would be preferred but not strictly necessary as full training can be given.
Person Specification
- Excellent Computer literacy skills and ability to learn data entry in Solicitors Own Software (SOS) database;
- Excellent communications skills and attention to detail;
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time although part-time working may be considered for the right candidate.
