About the business:
Our client is a West Yorkshire based firm looking to bring on a Legal Secretary to their Care and Public department.
If successful, you will perform the following role as a Legal Secretary.
* Typing documents including court documents and applications, emails and file notes, etc
* the fee earner's
* Preparing legal aid applications on CCMS
* Opening files on the case management system
* Answering calls and assisting clients with enquiries
* Liaising with clients/professionals to arrange appointments/meetings, etc.
* Dealing with incoming emails/post and corresponding as appropriate
* Digital dictation
* Ensuring the case management database is continually kept updated.
* Ensuring files are fully time recorded for billing
* Preparing Court bundles.
* Ensuring the experts' register is updated.
* Providing cover for other secretaries in their absence
* Assisting fee earners with billing and closing files, as well as invoices
To apply, you will be required to meet the following criteria:
* Secretarial experience, ideally in care.
* Good telephone manner
* Good typing skills and use of digital dictation
* Highly organised
* Proactive and using initiative
* Able to prioritise workloads of different fee earners.
