As a Legal Secretary in the Private Client Department, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive secretarial support to multiple Fee Earners.
Your duties will include:
- Efficiently handling typing and secretarial tasks within the Private Client Department
- Managing client calls and liaising with Fee Earners as needed (no legal advice provided)
- Welcoming clients in Reception and managing appointments
- Conducting conflict checks on new clients
- Maintaining organized filing systems
- Performing general administration tasks as required
- Attending departmental and firm-wide meetings
- Providing reception cover when needed
- Preparing accurate invoices and cost scheduling for clients under Fee Earner supervision
- Ensuring client confidentiality is maintained at all times
- A minimum of one year's experience in a similar role within a Private Client Department (experience with Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Estate administration is advantageous)
- Excellent keyboard skills with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word; experience with case management systems is a plus
- Dynamic and proactive approach with a positive attitude towards customer service
