- Act as a representative of Mitie carrying out work as detailed by the Risk Assessment Manager/Supervisor.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner in support of our customers and work colleagues.
- Ensure all works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification.
- Support business growth and retain existing customers.
- Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Risk Assessment Manager/Supervisor.
- Take responsibility for your own training needs and bring them to the attention of the Risk Assessment Manager/Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health and Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.
- Undertake Legionella Risk assessments to a high standard in line with the latest version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and the British standard code of practice for Risk assessing BS8580-1 2019. Also, the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises would be beneficial but not essential.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in Legionella risk assessing.
- Experience in water hygiene
- City and Guilds Risk Assessment course (or equivalent).
- Wide Knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274.
- Wide knowledge of the British standard code of practice for risk assessing, BS8580-1 2019.
- Knowledge of the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises.
- Suitable and sufficient experience working within the water treatment industry.
- Health and safety management.
- Commercial awareness.
- Planning skills.
