Leisure Attendant/Lifeguard – Ballymena.

Our Client in Ballymena is currently seeking a full time Leisure attendant/Lifeguard
This is an ongoing temporary position, starting asap

Hours of work:
37 hours – Successful candidates will be required to work Monday to Sunday, evenings and public holidays as dictated by the needs of the service
Rate of pay : £12.18 per hour

Duties include:

• Carry out poolside duties for main pool, learner pool, leisure pool and associated areas in accordance with the centre’s Normal Operation Procedure (NOP)and Emergency Action Plan (EAP) or as directed by the Senior Leisure Attendant.
• Erect and dismantle equipment and prepare areas for special events and activities, assisting at events, functions and activities as required.
• Supervise changing/shower rooms and other parts of the centre as directed by the Senior Leisure Attendant, including outdoor areas.
• Undertake and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the centre and its surrounding grounds in accordance with the centres Cleaning Work Instructions. This includes the use of appropriate protective clothing, mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment.
• Complete all documentation pertaining to the post ensuring accurate details are recorded in case a court appearance may be requested i.e. safety checks, toilet check sheets, daily cleaning schedule, accident and incident report forms etc keeping the Senior Attendant informed of any findings.

Essential Criteria:

• Possession of a current lifesaving qualification, minimum National Pool Lifeguard Award or RLSS Bronze Medallion or equivalent
• Ability to pass swim competency test
• Able to demonstrate knowledge of customer care skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Good standard of physical fitness
