Job description

Grade 6 - £25,979 for 18.5 hours per week equating to £12,989.50 pro rata.


We are looking for an enthusiastic Administration Duty Officer to provide a full range of administrative support to deliver the effective day to day shift operation of Haverfordwest Leisure Centre in line with Health & Safety, Operational and Customer guidelines and be an active member of the facility Management Team.


You will be required to undertake all administrative duties necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the facility, including the operation of the computerised till and booking system (Gladstone), are competed appropriately. Coordinate the Climbing wall programme to ensure that a wide range of options are on offer that meets customer demand and demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the programmes and products provided by Pembrokeshire Leisure, bringing them to the appropriate attention of customers accordingly.


You will liaise with contractors and industry experts to ensure all aspects of health and safety are up to date for use of the Climbing Wall. Contribute to the facility management team to ensure that all key information is prepared and evaluated in order to contribute to continued business development, whilst assisting the organisation and promotion of all activities held or provided using appropriate advertising methods including Social Media forums.


You will be expected to keep the centre up to date with general marketing for the facilities, keeping it interesting and exciting. This will entail working on our website, App, Social Media forums and creating in house marketing material.


You will have responsibility for the supervision and support of a specified team, including recruitment and selection, allocation and direction of workload, performance management, identifying training needs and providing support to staff and responding to any matters relating to sickness absence or conduct.


Previous experience of working in a leisure complex with an enthusiastic, committed and creative approach is essential for this post as well as having a good standard of general education with the ability to demonstrate a good standard of literacy and numeracy skills. Previous supervisory experience or a Supervisory Management Certificate or an NVQ Level 3 in Leisure Management would also be an advantage. Full training for the successful candidate will be provided on appointment.


This role requires the flexibility to work early morning, evening and weekends where required.
