JOB TITLE: Lenovo Vendor Manager

SALARY: £55,000 + £15,000 commission + £5,000 car allowance

LOCATION: St Albans / London / M4 Corridor

SETTING: Hybrid / Home-based with visits to Lenovo HQ in Farnborough

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lenovo Vendor Manager.  This is a senior sales partner and enablement role, working as a bridge between Lenovo solutions, the sales organisation, and our customers directly to improve the understanding of the Lenovo product portfolio and increase sales through driven sales pipeline and self-generated opportunities.

Job Specification: Lenovo Vendor Manager

Key to the success of this role is to understand, manage, and promote the Lenovo solutions through vendor relationships, whilst recognising the dynamics of the IT market, customers and contracts.  It is imperative to form relationships across the business and work in collaboration to drive product sales and deals through to the customers.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Evangelism of the Lenovo product portfolio across the company’s marketplaces.
  • Close liaison with Sales Managers, Marketing and Purchasing teams to deliver sales and product targets.
  • Creating a self-generated pipeline and opportunities to earn new / incremental revenue, outside of the required support to sales.
  • Inspiring sales to promote designated product range to customers at every opportunity. Developing cross and up sell plans with sales managers to target the customer base.
  • Strong emphasis on driving the most economical and efficient route to market.
  • Working alongside marketing team to help execute plans. Supporting all departments with regards to vendor and customer liaison and escalation of issues.
  • Building up a strong understanding of company’s Product, Vendor, Service, Support and Delivery capabilities. Incorporating this knowledge in supporting the sales teams in submitting successful contracts / bid responses.

Requirements: Lenovo Vendor Manager

We are looking for an individual who has proven experience / knowledge of working with IT vendors in an IT reseller / channel model – this is a necessity.  A high level of competency with productivity software, the ability to manage / work with vendors to minimize costs and maximize opportunities as well as a degree of commercial acumen is also essential.

We are also looking for an individual who has a sales mindset of driving a significant budget number with some proven success.  Strong creativity to produce ideas and opportunities to drive focus for Lenovo in our business and be confident to report upwards into the SLT at Lenovo but also into the Exec board.
