Tyne provides housing and support to vulnerable people across the region. Our lettings team play a central role in ensuring people who are referred to us for housing are supported through the process, working alongside our housing teams to allocate suitable accommodation.
You’ll be part of a small, busy team receiving daily enquiries and referrals from our partners, working alongside your colleagues to ensure records and details are kept up to date. You will also provide informal telephone interviews with potential residents, helping to assess their needs and aspirations for the future in order to find them the accommodation and support that best suits them.
This role requires excellent written and verbal communications skills, as well as an understanding of the sensitive nature of our work. You should be an empathetic person, able to quickly build rapport and show compassion in your work. The position is based at Tyne’s head office at St.Silas Church, Byker however the ability to work remotely may also be required.
