A dynamic and forward thinking SEN school are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with hearing impairments in their specialist unit.
The Role
In this role you will supporting 11 - 18 year old pupils who have a range of hearing needs across the school. The school are ideally looking for a learning support assistant who holds a BSL qualification (Level 3 desirable) and a knowledge of Makaton as you will be required to translate spoken language into BSL competently within a mainstream classroom.

This SEN secondary school is based in Wandsworth and caters to students aged 11 to 18 and has a specialist deaf provision. The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum, where established core subject teaching is supported by a culturally rich arts and sports subjects. To apply you must have:
- BSL / Makaton experience (BSL Level 3 is desirable)
- Have strong English skills, be able to adapt spoken and written English to make materials accessible for Deaf students.
