An exciting opportunity has arisen to undertake a degree level apprenticeship in our Children's Social Care team. The position is a fixed term contract for 37 hours per week for an expected duration of 30 months beginning in September 2024.
Upon successful completion of the programme individuals are awarded a BA (Hons) Social Work degree from Staffordshire University, as well as a Level 6 apprenticeship qualification approved by Social Work England, where it is expected individuals will progress into Newly Qualified Social Worker positions within the Council on a permanent basis.

ABOUT THE ROLE
During the apprenticeship successful candidates will undertake the role of a Family Support Worker. You will devise, implement and review individual care/support plans/pathway plans for children, young people and their families which meet their assessed need. Support children, young people and their families in the community through a range of interventions which improve family/individual functioning to give you the exposure, skills and knowledge required to progress into becoming a fully qualified Social Worker.
