This role is based out of our John Lewis Distribution Centre at Magna Park, Milton Keynes.
The pay range for this role is set at £13.90 - £16.68 per hour.
This is a part time, permanent position, working 22.5 hours per week. The 2 shifts available are:
Monday - Wednesday, 13:30 - 21:30
Tuesday - Thursday, 06:00 - 14:00
Due to the nature of this role, we require all applicants to be over 18 to apply.
About the role
As a LGV1 Driver you will promote the Partnership brand through a professional and courteous manner towards other road users whilst collecting and delivering vehicles across our network. You will deliver key performance indicators (KPI) whilst ensuring the customer receives unrivalled service. As well as embracing vehicle telematics and vehicle types as you strive to deliver savings to support the wider business.
Drivers are accountable for ensuring all duties are performed in a safe manner, with an awareness of individual responsibility for health and safety at all times. Drivers in the Partnership are required to pay full attention to, and work within, the laws and rules relating to driving LGV vehicles. This includes driver hours regulations, speed limits and other rules as outlined in the Highway code, Partnership Transport Partners Handbook and the Drivers training pack.
We will expect you to go the extra mile in everything you do, from maintaining high standards of professional driving to showing flexibility in your approach to the role.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate their knowledge of the relevant regulations, and will be expected to pass the driver assessment as part of their application.
Essential skills you’ll need
Valid UK LGV1 C + E driving licence (with a maximum of 6 points).
Valid DCPC (Drivers Qualification Card).
Valid Tachograph Card.
Previous experience driving a 44 tonne articulated lorry
