Library Assistant - Maghera

We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing part-time Library assistant for our Client based in Maghera This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body. STARTING ASAP

Working 2 week rota basis

Week 1: Wednesday 10-5, Friday 10-1

Week 2: Tuesday 1.30-6, Saturday 10-4

Rate of pay is £12.52 per hour. Saturday rate £18.78 per hour

Duties include:

* Handling client queries using print & electronic resources

* Registering clients

* Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations

* Provide all library services to meet the learning , information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.

Essential Criteria:

* Must have 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent

* 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.

* Experience working with young children and elderly people

* Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
