SalaryUppingham School is seeking a proactive and resourceful Library Supervisor to join our library team on a part time basis.
Situated in the picturesque town of Uppingham in Rutland, Uppingham School is a leading co-educational boarding school accommodating over 800 pupils and employing more than 600 staff. Our Libraries are a valuable resource for students, offering a diverse collection of books and online databases to support academic studies and personal enrichment. Comprising the Main Library, the Cavell Centre Science Library, and subject-specific collections, our goal is to foster a love for reading and provide an inclusive learning environment.
Reporting to the Director of Libraries, you will manage library operations during evenings and Weekends, catering to students aged 13 to 18. You will play a crucial role in library administration, supporting teaching and learning, promoting reading, and efficiently managing the library's book-borrowing system. Flexibility, including availability during evenings and Sunday afternoons, is essential for this role.
Working in a busy environment, it is essential that the Supervisor can prioritise work and multi-task efficiently and is able to meet deadlines whilst retaining a high level of accuracy.

Hours available: Tuesday to Friday 7:00pm–9:00 pm and Sunday 2:00pm – 6:00 pm
