Job description

Part Time - 18.5hrs a week, Fixed Term - 18 months

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Central Library team. Bristol Libraries is a dynamic service with opening hours across all seven days of the week. The library services consists of 27 libraries, and you will be responsible for making sure that stock moves around the city efficiently by sorting and packing items that are going in and out of the Central Library.
You will also support the professional team in the maintenance of Library Stock as detailed in the job description.

Key duties for the post-holder are:
  • Maintain Library Stock to ensure it meets the highest standard of quality and increase usage.
  • Sort and move incoming and outgoing materials whilst adhering to best manual handling practice.
  • Repair and maintain Library Stock with guidance from the professional team.

This post is part time for 18.5 hours per week on a two-week working pattern:
Week 1
Monday 9.30-5 Weds 10-5 Fri 10-5
Week 2
Monday 9.30-5 Weds 10-5 Fri 10-5
