Nether Hall School is a very effective, well-resourced special school for pupils aged 4-19 years who have severe & profound learning difficulties.
The school is seeking to appoint Lifeguard / Teaching Assistant Level 1 working 32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks (school term time + 5 training days).
Salary: LG Band 5, Points 11 - 4, £26,421 - £28,770 pro-rata.
Actual starting salary: Dependent on experience Less than 5 yrs service with the Local Authority: Point 11 - £20,029; (Plus SEN allowance of £1177)
The successful candidate will be required to gain the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) and be confident they can achieve this as well as have good basic education including GCSE or equivalent in English as detailed in the job specification. Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant is desirable but not essential.

Applicants will also be required to undertake pre-employment checks which will include a declaration that neither they, nor anyone who lives in the same household, is a disqualified person under the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2018 as well as other necessary checks.
