The successful candidate will play a crucial role in servicing equipment primarily in the central and West East London areas. This position entails managing a service route and ensuring all planned maintenance is completed on schedule. The role demands a proactive approach to adjusting and resolving issues to enhance lift performance. Prompt escalation of site issues, including spare part requirements and lift shutdowns, is essential. Collaboration with other field Service Engineers, support for the MEU-UK supervisor, and contribution to the service department and organisational efficiency initiatives are all integral aspects of this role.
Applicants should possess robust electrical and mechanical skills, with the ability to apply these in practical settings. Strong organisational capabilities are vital, including workload planning and balancing responsive and planned activities. The ability to interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams is required, alongside proficiency with standard test instruments and hand tools. Effective communication with engineering personnel to troubleshoot uncommon system operation and maintenance issues is also key. Candidates should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Lift & Escalator Service and Repair or have equivalent experience gained through practical exposure in the field.
