Job description

In this role you’ll carry out thorough examinations of our Lifting Equipment, small workshop tools and working at height equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations. You’ll also carry out face fit testing and have responsibility for the purchase of replacement equipment and monitoring stock levels. Along with the accurate and timely completion of the required documentation in line with the company’s procedures and ensure adherence to Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations.

Working alongside colleagues, you will be a great team player and take pride in your workplace and working environment, making sure that high standards are maintained whilst complying with company procedures and processes. Communicating effectively, ensuring that your Line Manager and Customers are kept informed as required.

To succeed in this role you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

Experience & Qualifications:

Full UK driving license.
Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles and Manual/Powered Hoists etc.
Experience of carrying out inspections on workshop tools and equipment in line with PUWER requirements.
Experience of inspecting working at height equipment.
LEEA Lifting Equipment Theory Certificates required.
Knowledge and experience of LOLER and PUWER.
Good knowledge of inspection techniques applicable to Lifting Equipment.

Practical thinker with the ability to think outside the box
Organised and structured approach to work
Attention to detail and accuracy when completing inspection paperwork.
