About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Lifting Supervisor to join the Mechanical Steelworks Sub-Contractor on the new build Open Cycle Gas Turbine project based in Eye, Suffolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting the lifting activities and making amendments and changes when required to do so.

We are working in partnership with Our client across 4 UK wide projects.

Role responsibilities for the Lifting Supervisor:

* Plan all lifting operations so they are carried out safely with foreseeable risks taken into account.
* The person appointed to plan the lifting operation should have adequate practical and theoretical knowledge and experience of the lifts being undertaken.
* The lifting plans across 3 Open Cycle Gas Turbine plants to address the risks identified by a risk assessment, the resources required, procedures and the responsibilities so that any lifting operation is carried out safely.
* The lifting plans should ensure that the lifting equipment remains safe for the range of lifting operations for which the equipment might be used.
* Planning safe slinging and signalling arrangements across all projects.
* Maintenance and examination of the crane and equipment;
* Provide supervision of operations by personnel having the necessary authority to work onsite.
* Provide thorough examinations, reports and other documents for all lifting activities across all UK projects.
* Prevent unauthorised movement or use of the crane; and
* Implement safety plans for all sites to secure safety of persons not involved in the lifting.

Qualifications and skills required for this role:

* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training)
* CSCS appointed person cert
* NEBOSH
* Health and Safety qualifications for Occupational Health and Safety
* CDM regulations knowledge

Location, remuneration and timeframe for the Lifting Supervisor role:

* Eye, Suffolk
* �400.00 to �425.00 per day Outside IR35
* 4 months contract
