Light vehicle to HGV upskilling program

Shorterm Group have designed a paid upskilling programme that takes experienced Light vehicle mechanics, car, PCV and HGV mechanics and upskills them to be highly competent HGV/PSV/Bus technicians. It is a joint programme between us and a few of the largest British based Bus/Coach/HGV companies.
This is a 1-year paid "work and learn" programme.
The training programme consists of 24 separate planned on the job (OTJ) training practical assessments across the year.
Location: Exeter
Shift: Monday to Friday and every other Saturday.
o Mon - Fri, Early/late alternating shifts
o Sat - 8am-12pm
Salary: Minimum 34k dependant on shift/hours worked. Night shifts are also available at certain depots.
Duration: 12 months in the clients' depot - after this there is a very good prospect of full-time employment direct with the client, including significant pay rise
IMI accreditation upon completion of the 1-year programme.
Candidates for this position will need to have the following:
Will have completed an apprenticeship in Light vehicle mechanics and repair, BTEC, City & Guilds qualification or a level 2 equivalent relevant qualification. In exceptional cases we will consider candidates who do not possess a level 2 qualification or equivalent but who have strong relevant technical expertise.
Hold a full UK drivers' licence.
Own a laptop/PC and have domestic internet connectivity.
Have the right to live and work in the UK.
Live within a reasonable commute of a designated garage.
Own a toolbox and tools as befits a practicing car mechanic or equivalent.
