SalaryDakota Hotel based in INSERT LOCATION are seeking a reliable and hard-working individual to join our Housekeeping Team in the role of Linen Porter.
CONTRACT AND PAY RATE
The pay rate is national minimum wage, paid hourly and on a weekly basis plus cash and card tips // Earnings are £10.50 per hour, paid weekly equating to a minimum guaranteed gross annual salary of £19,110.
The role carries a permanent contract of a minimum of 35 hours per week and typical shifts will be Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm, Saturday 9:30am-5pm and Sunday 10am-5:30pm. This contract will include working any 5 days out of 7, and does include working weekends.
PRIMARY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Count in linen deliveries and manage linen stock by counting all linen to be sent away for laundering and inhouse stock.
- Strip beds and remove all used linens and towels from guest bedrooms ahead of the Room Attendant/Housekeeper servicing the room.
- As relief cover, you will be required to carry out the tasks of a Room Attendant/Housekeeper on occasion. This requires you to thoroughly deep clean guest bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, make beds, and detail to provide guests with an immaculately clean and welcoming space.
- Carry out more heavy duty tasks within the department such as mattress turning, and setting up z-beds and cots.
- Action notes on guest preferences and requests to personalize guest stays e.g. provide firm pillows.
- Follow health and safety procedures closely at all times such as those pertaining to the handling of waste and manual handling.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of safe chemical handling guidelines and usage of cleaning equipment such as steamers.

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant will have/be:
- A minimum of one years working experience in a cleaning or labouring role is strongly preferred.
- Someone with an eye for detail and who likes to work alone.
- A reliable and dependable individual.
- Able to be physically active and be standing for the entirety of your shift.
- Be able to be physically active in your role, standing for much of your shift and working at pace.
- An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
- Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.
- Flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business.
- Successful candidates must demonstrate having researched our brand and a genuine desire to be part of our team.
