£45,000 - £55,000 + hybrid working + benefits

Hampshire, Fleet - Hybrid Working (3 days per week in the Fleet office is required)

Linux Infrastructure Support Engineer to join a growing organisation based in Fleet, Hampshire who are offering hybrid working, you will be required to be in the office 3 days per week, 2 days remote. Due to organic growth our client is looking for and additional Linux Support Engineer to join an established team to help with an exciting period of digital transformation across the business. The Linux Infrastructure Support Engineer will be working in a fast-paced internal environment solving BAU technical problems that will thrive to champions best practice.

The successful Linux Infrastructure Support Engineer will be working in an ITIL environment with strong Linux, networking, server configuration and basic application support experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring all escalated BAU issues are resolved against SLA's including major incidents.
• Recording all data relating to incidents within the ticketing system ensuring incident management process is being adhered to.
• Own and manage problem and post incidents through to resolution.
• Drive any opportunities to implement automation and scripting to infrastructure and toolsets.
• Collaborating with the technology team and wider non-technical business stakeholders.
• Join the 'Out of Hours' support rota (after completing probation)

Key Skills

• In depth Linux Infrastructure Support experience. Ubuntu wold be advantageous
• Strong Office 365 and other Microsoft services
• Networking skills - Cisco, Ubiquiti, Meraki etc.
• Scripting skills - Bash and PowerShell
• Familiarity with firewalls, LAN, and Wi-Fi networking
• Understanding of ITL methodologies and processes (certifications would be a bonus)
• Any of the following MySQL, Ubuntu, AWS/Azure, Intune, or Jira experience would be highly desirable but not essential. Opportunities to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced SLA environment with good documentation skills.
• Strong customer service approach and communication experience.
