Role Overview: My client is looking for a remote Linux Systems Engineer to join their team. You'll leverage your extensive systems design and networking expertise to craft, deploy, and validate our client's product deployments across diverse business landscapes. Your responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, designing tailored solutions, and overseeing the seamless execution of your designs.

Requirements:

• Practical experience in designing and implementing large, scalable network systems
• Proficient knowledge of network scalability, redundancy, and resiliency
• Hands-on experience with Linux (CentOS, RedHat), scripting languages, and common network equipment (Cisco, Juniper)
• Familiarity with large-scale IP-based networks, routing protocols, proxy-based solutions, and enterprise/education networks
• Experience in telecom service provider networks (routing, OSS/BSS, AAA, LDAP, Radius)
• Strong project management skills and the ability to support RFPs/Tenders

Key Responsibilities:

• 35% Solution Architecture:
  • Designing bespoke solutions for unique customer requirements
  • Planning for scalability, redundancy, and resiliency
  • Ensuring designs meet customer requirements
• 35% System Integration / Deployment:
  • Hands-on deployment at customer premises
  • Planning deployment efforts for smooth implementation
  • Collaboration with customer technical teams
• 15% Pre-sales / Sales Support:
  • Visiting customer sites with business development teams
  • Advocating technology to facilitate market expansion
  • Serving as the subject matter expert in the region
• 15% Customer Visits:
  • Troubleshooting delivery phase issues
  • Facilitating knowledge transfer to customers
  • Maintaining strong relationships between our client and customers
