At DLG Legal Services, our mission is to make law easy and accessible to everyone. As part of the Direct Line Group, we provide legal services to over 50,000 DLG customers each year. Customers can access our legal Advice-line team and our growing list of services includes personal injury, employment, property, inheritance, and contract litigation. We also support our parent group, litigating on their behalf.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join our Bromley based Litigation team team on a full-timeand permanent basis.
The Role:
As a Litigation Administrator, you will support the team of fee earners in the Litigation Department and report to the Manager(s) of the respective department. The role is varied and requires a high level of self management and flexibility with various administrative, legal assisting and secretarial functions.
What you'll be doing:
To manage multiple email inboxes/fax inboxes and distribute emails/faxes to the appropriate Fee Earners/Team Leaders.
Completing file prints and court bundles as required.
Typing up of dictation tapes and transcribing phone calls if required.
Preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports, updating and maintaining administrative reports/spreadsheets for the benefit of the department heads.
Managing the CD/DVD library for Litigation, copying discs and printing contents as needed.
Manage and organise Postscan for staff supplying reports to the SLT
Assisting Litigation file handlers with administration tasks;
Reviewing documents and compiling a chronology.
Reviewing and organising evidence in to a chronological order;
Review of Employment records, medical records and any other type of evidential documentation;
Keeping a record of work requested and maintaining a booking system;
Keeping a record of work completed and time spent on each matter.
What We Are Looking For:
A working knowledge / some experience with personal injury claims is preferred;
Ability to work as team member and collaborating for success.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
Must be able to use own initiative and prioritise
Flexibility in work content
Enthusiasm and trustworthiness
Contract: Permanent
Hours:35 hours (Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm)
Location:Bromley (BR1)
Hybrid Working: We have a hybrid model with a virtual-first approach which means you would primarily work from home and be in the office two days a week.
