Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a live in Nanny to join their family to look after their 3 children. The role is sole chare, mum and dad have very busy careers. The two eldest children attend school from 8:45am to 3:15pm, the youngest attends nursery (although the days/hours will be changing) – the nanny will need to be available should he be unable to attend nursery. The children are very well behaved. Mum is looking for a nanny who will nurture and discipline (not to strict/more firm but fair) and make them laugh. They just want to be engaged, talked to and have their little voices heard. It’s a juggling act but they are very sweet. Also important is making sure the children eat a healthy diet – the nanny needs to be comfortable and enjoy cooking.
The family are looking for someone who can work 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday and 7am to 10am on Saturdays (wont be every Saturday, family can be flexible for the right candidate – also this will become less when the youngest is 2 years old), this is to help mum and dad have a few hours on Saturday to deal with family admin – however, there will be downtime when the children are not at home which will make the role 50 hours in total per week.
Accommodation: Own bedroom
General duties:
- School drop and pick up (1 min walk)
- Helping to keep the home tidy (family has a cleaner each week)
- Age appropriate activities
- Cooking for the children – healthy meals
- Taking the children outdoors to parks/playgrounds
- Take to doctors appointments
- Wardrobe management (make sure the childrens clothes are in good shape)
Candidate requirements:
- Experience within a similar role with similar aged children
- Someone energetic, caring and engaging with children
- Someone proactive, organised and who thinks ahead
- Someone with a positive attitude who smiles and is cheerful
- Creative and fun
- Comfortable and enjoys cooking
- Good communication skills – work well with mum and dad – give advice/ideas but also follow mum and dad’s way of doing things
- Open to travelling with the family abroad for holidays
DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
