We have a lovely position for a dedicated and loyal Couple to join a Estate, which extends to 3,100 hectares, and is located 10 miles south of Edinburgh. With one of the finest designed landscapes in the country and over fifteen miles of trails, the Estate provides a major recreational resource for Midlothian, with over 150,000 visitors a year. Now, with a new generation taking over the family business, the Estate is embarking on an exciting fresh chapter to continue its evolution, with the launch of a major hospitality project during 2024. You as a Live in couple:
Possess Housekeeping skills
Also have Handyperson duties
Are able to work under own initiative within structured time scales.
Have a high-quality approach to work.
Have good organisational skills and good spoken English.
Would describe yourselves as personable and caring hosts
Are previous experienced in housekeeping and front office skills, ideally in a supervisory capacity
The Role:
Weekly, monthly, and annual checks of the estate that ensure its smooth management, including good filing and record keeping.
Responding to situations relating to the security, maintenance, and safety of the estate premises.
Meticulous housekeeping management and maintenance/handyperson you will both work with the Managing Director
Answering enquiries and assisting with inbound reservations so that communications both with the future arriving guests and the internal team members remain open and smooth.
Taking and converting enquiries into reservations, setting up reservations in the systems for the properties
Checking on the housekeeping staff that are directly and indirectly employed.
Identifying and reporting the maintenance issues
Helping with the welcome process and ensuring that our guests experience the warmest welcome on arrival and then enjoy a comfortable and pleasant stay on the estate until the time of their departure.

Salary: £50,000 GPA (Live in couple)
Hours: 48 hours
House: One Bedroom flat provided within the building (separate entrance to the flat).
