Job description

This role requires the post holder to work with a wide range of stakeholders, from external commercial
and professional organisations, university colleagues and local communities. An integral part of the role
is to help progress the work of the Botanic Garden Living Lab, ensuring there is a programme of
educational events and activities in the botanic garden and engaging students across the grounds
managed by the department.


Key Duties and Responsibilities
* To support the development of the Living Lab as part of the Steering Group
* To support the development of Educational opportunities aligned to the Living Lab projects with
partners from academic institutions, private, public and voluntary sector.
* To work with Botanic Garden team to ensure delivery of Living Lab projects including developing
a pool of academic associates as appropriate to deliver the programme.
* To be up to date with research and strategies relating to the Living Lab.
* To maintain in association with administrative support, the Living Lab research database,
analyse data, manage and deliver all monitoring, evaluation and reports as required by funders
and stakeholders or internally by University of Dundee Botanic Garden.
Person Specification
* Demonstrable education experience within a natural history, garden or heritage setting.
* The role holder must be able to supervise undergraduate projects and will be designated a co
research investigator for the Living Lab.
* Experience of networking and building strategic partnerships at the highest level with academic
institutions and a diverse range of stakeholders and partners.
* Excellent communication skills including written evaluation, research and reporting, and ability
to present ideas and the Living Lab to audiences at all levels.
* Track record of writing successful complex project proposals with multiple partners.
