Overall, Purpose of Role.
As the Loading Bay Manager, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing food & beverage goods and deliveries to ensure that all events and departments have a steady supply of stock.
You will also work across multiple departments to organise the delivery of all food and beverage goods, supervise all storage areas, conduct monthly stocktakes, and perform daily food, fridge, and freezer temperature checks.
Main Tasks Include.
Responsible for managing stock, protecting profits, and minimising waste.
Report into the Culinary Purchasing Manager & Beverage Manager but will be expected to support the logistics operation as well.
Manage the day-to-day operation of the Loading Bay area, being mindful of executing the high-level requirements of Health & Safety and Food Safety.
Manage all food and beverage deliveries through the Loading Bay and delivering to the correct areas/departments.
Liaise with all department heads to discuss their requirements.
To manage the stock we hold in our main stores daily. To include stock rotation, movement, monitoring fridge/freezer temperatures.
Perform daily food temperature delivery and vehicle checks.
Work alongside all other departments with managing the stock transfers from the main stores.
Work alongside the main stores team in managing the delivery schedule daily.
Perform a monthly stock take of all stock in the main store’s areas.
Will have an input in Championships planning when it comes to rotas, team size and area layout etc.
To be trained in all aspects of main stores roles including goods receipting of deliveries, ordering food via Foodbuy, and managing time and attendance logging of the wider team. This will mainly be to cover leave from stores team members.
Potential to go and assist other Levy/Compass venues to grow and learn.
Expected to take a lead of a large team during the actual Championships with assistance from wider team and returning members.
Forklift licence preferred but can be obtained if necessary.
