Loading Operative/FLT Driver

Adecco is currently hiring on behalf of our client, a reputable local manufacturing company that stands out as a leader in their industry. With our client approaching their peak operational period, we are seeking a number of operatives to join their team.

These positions are temporary to permanent, offering candidates the opportunity for long-term engagement. We require individuals who are adaptable and willing to work various shifts from Monday to Friday.

Duties

• Responsible for operating and maintaining FLT for loading customer orders.
• Picking and load all customer orders to match loading plans
• Attend briefings/ tool box talks to gain further understanding and instruction.
• To work in a safe manner and adhere to all known safety procedures at all times.
• Carry out any administrative procedures required accurately and punctually, including sap entries.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained or exceeded in their given area.
• Ensure loading working lists are adhered to.
• Maintain high standards of product quality at all times.

Experience/skills required:

• Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence with working experience of driving an FLT
• Self-motivation and self-discipline - able to work efficiently without supervision or guidance.
• Calm and rational response to pressure.
• Flexibility to alter priorities and work in accordance with the needs of the company.
• Team player, also able to give direction.
• Ability to learn new equipment and able to support others.
• Experience of working in a factory environment.
• Excellent time keeping and flexible work approach.
• Basic computer skills

Basic rate 11.55 plus overtime rates in place.

Own transport is required due to the location of the client. Good location to get to from Carlisle, Penrith, Wigton, Aspatria & West Cumbria.
