We are currently partnering with a Top 40 UK law firm with offices nationwide, who are looking to recruit a NQ Local Authority Defence solicitor to join their Casualty team. The firm offers great internal progression schemes and prioritises internal movement to progress your career. A competitive salary and benefits are available. This vacancy is open to both their Birmingham and Leicester offices.
Your new role
This NQ Local Authority Defence solicitor role will see you handle your own caseload whilst also assisting senior team members of the Casualty team. Your own caseload will include litigated files of Highways Law, OL, EL, and Housing Disrepair. You will work on behalf of local authorities, covering their full range of services, including inquests and inquiries, as well as social care. You will be required to analyse records and prepare chronologies of key information and dates.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a NQ solicitor/CILEX, who ideally comes from a defendant background. However, strong candidates with claimant experience will also be considered. You must have excellent knowledge of CPR and litigation. Strong IT, written and communication skills are required. Successful candidates must have good time management, be organised and be able to multitask.
