Locum Contracts Lawyer x 2

Upto £60ph DOE - 100% Remote
My client is looking for a Contracts Solicitor with a little Governance Experience.
The right candidates will be able to hit the ground running. The two positions have come about as they will need to cover 2 key members of the team.
Duties will include but not limited to:

• Providing advice and assistance on all legal aspects of procurement, tenders and contracts including interpretation, drafting, contract management, disputes and termination.
• Ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and the Council’s Constitution
• Advice on local government and contract and commercial law generally
• Supporting income generation by providing advice to external clients in respect of commercial and contractual matters
• Supporting the Head of Legal and Commercial Services and Legal Services Team Manager to ensure legality in the Council’s decision making process and that the council’s various committees, boards, groups and working parties have the appropriate level of legal advice and support
• To provide assistance to the Head of Legal and Commercial Services and Legal Services Team Manager on issues of corporate governance including officer / member training, review of the constitution, and providing advice on compliance and corporate governance.
• Such other duties as may be required from time to time as are, in the opinion of the Legal Services Manager, consistent with the general level of responsibility of the post.
